ABOUT THE MEDIATION CENTER

MEDIATION CENTER
with the Court of Arbitration at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Mediation Center was established in 2005 with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)funded Commercial Law Reform Program.

The Mediation Center is established to achieve the following goals:

• Dispute resolution through mediation.
• Promotion of mediation as an effective, time and money saving alternative dispute resolution method.
• Dispute resolution and conflict settlement through other dispute resolution methods.
• Organization of mediation trainings, trainings on other alternative dispute resolution methods and on conflict management.

BCCI is the biggest organization of bulgarian business with 110 years' tradition. The Court of Arbitration at the BCCI is a reputable institution for out-of-court dispute resolution providing arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution services with 109 years' tradition. The Mediation Center is established based on the experience of the Court of Arbitration and the know-how for conducting mediation delivered within the framework of special trainings organized by the Commercial Law Reform Program of the American Agency for International Development. The Mediation Center works with trained mediators having experience in the alternative dispute resolution.
